There is certainly no shortage of things to do on the Mayan Riviera - aside from relaxing or playing Frisbee on the beach. As we will be staying in Mexico for an additional week, we have decided that we will spend the majority of our wedding week at the resort. However, we would encourage all of you to take advantage of the beauty this part of the world has to offer and take a few day trips to explore the area. There is also no shortage of activities at the hotel, should you choose to stay put with us!

There is a travel agency at the resort (Magic Tours) and for a fee they will happily organize trips to the Mayan Ruins or any other excursions. They also have a website with useful information.

It is also fairly easy to walk out to the main road and catch a local bus anywhere you'd like to go. If you would like to learn more about the culture and history of Mexico, and fun places to explore on the Mayan Coast, there are tones of websites available. Or, if you like spending hours in the bookstores (like Patrycja) there are also countless books). Here are a few links we have found helpful:

The Loco Gringo Website is fabulous - filled with information and photos!

More travel information about the area:

There is also a very active nightlife if you choose to drive up to Cancun for a day/evening. Though we will also be shaking things up at the discotheque right on the resort!!

If you'd like to make any other recommendations, please send us a note. You know the e-mails!
